This is a view found on the way to Caesar's Head, in northern Greenville county. The leaves had just begun to take on some color, but the rare clear day provided the reason to take the shot. Normally this vista is shrouded in the thick haze which gives the Great Smokey and Blue Ridge Mountains their names. Even on a clear day, such as this one, the distant ridges still live up to their Blue name. |
